Itinerary

Day 1 — Welcome to the Motherland

Highlights: Arrival & Orientation

Akwaaba! Upon arrival at Kotoka International Airport, you’ll be greeted by your Cultural Tour Guide and transferred in a private, air‑conditioned vehicle to your hotel.

After check‑in, enjoy a personalized briefing on the adventures ahead. Depending on your arrival time, spend the rest of the day relaxing or exploring the neighborhood.

 

Day 2 — The Heart and Soul of Accra

Highlights: Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park • Jamestown • Fantasy Coffin Shop

Dive into the rhythmic energy of Accra, a city where colonial history meets modern high‑rises.

After breakfast, drive past Independence Square to see the eternal flame of African Liberation. Visit Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park, a peaceful garden sanctuary housing the mausoleum and museum of Ghana’s founding father.

Explore Jamestown, one of Accra’s oldest districts, with its iconic lighthouse and Ussher Fort overlooking the Gulf of Guinea.

End the day at the Fantasy Coffin Workshop in La, where artisans craft whimsical caskets shaped like cocoa pods, airplanes, and fish, a tribute to Ghana’s belief in a vibrant life after death.

 

Day 3 — Accra →  Kumasi: The Golden Stool

Highlights: Manhyia Palace Museum • Prempeh II Jubilee Museum

Depart Accra after breakfast for a scenic drive north through tropical forests and cocoa farms.

Arrive in Kumasi, the royal capital of the Ashanti Kingdom. Visit Manhyia Palace Museum, the former residence of Ashanti kings, showcasing regal artifacts and history.

Continue to the Prempeh II Jubilee Museum at the National Cultural Centre, where master potters, brass makers, and batik artists display their craft.

 

Day 4 — Masterpieces of Ashanti Craft

Highlights: Adanwomase Kente Village • Ntonso Adinkra Village

Spend the day exploring the artisan villages surrounding Kumasi.

In Adanwomase, watch weavers create vibrant Kente cloth on traditional looms and purchase authentic textiles directly from the artisans.

In Ntonso, learn the art of Adinkra stamping, using natural dyes from tree bark to print symbolic designs. Create your own Adinkra sash as a keepsake.

 

Day 5 — Kumasi → Assin Manso → Cape Coast

Highlights: Slave River Memorial • Elmina Arrival

Depart Kumasi after breakfast and journey south toward the coast.

Stop at Assin Manso, a sacred memorial site where enslaved Africans took their “last bath” before being sent to coastal forts.

Continue to Elmina, check into your beach resort, and spend the evening reflecting by the Atlantic Ocean.

 

Day 6 — The Cape & Gold Coast Expedition

Highlights: Cape Coast Castle • Elmina Harbor

After breakfast, tour Cape Coast Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Walk through the dungeons and stand before the Door of No Return, a powerful symbol of resilience.

Later, visit Elmina Castle, the oldest European structure in Sub‑Saharan Africa, and explore the bustling Elmina Harbor, where hundreds of colorful fishing canoes prepare for their nightly voyage, a photographer's dream.

 

Day 7 — Kakum National Park & Return to Accra

Highlight: Canopy Walkway

After breakfast, check out and head to Kakum National Park.

Brave the world‑famous Canopy Walkway, a series of seven suspension bridges hanging 30 meters above the forest floor, offering breathtaking views of the rainforest.

Afterward, drive back to Accra and check into your hotel for a relaxing evening.

Day 8 — Accra Leisure & Farewell

Highlights: Arts Centre • Departure

Spend your final morning at leisure. Visit the Accra Arts Centre for last‑minute souvenir shopping hand‑woven baskets, brass carvings, and colorful textiles.

At the appropriate time, transfer to Kotoka International Airport for your flight home.
